CIFL Sevens
The CIFL Sevens tournament is an end of season tradition that was started in 1988. Every season all teams in the competition are invited to compete at the event. Teams are divided into groups and allocated a handicap based on their final position on the league table for that season. The games are 7-a-side, 7 minute halves with no half-time break. The top two teams from each group then play another group in a sudden death quarter and semi-final.
Before the final round the trophy presentation ceremony is held for the league competition. With this format most teams and players are present to cheer their peers.
The tournament organisers are grateful to Ansvar Insurance who have sponsored the Ansvar Cup for the CIFL Sevens tournament for the last 10 years.
